Once again, the public transport company Aargau Verkehr (AVA) has achieved outstanding results in the quality assessment conducted by the Swiss Federal Office of Transport (BAV). With a score of 99.21 points, Aargau Verkehr achieved the best result nationwide in the rail sector.

Aargau Verkehr impresses with top results in the 2024 BAV quality assessment
Each year, the Federal Office of Transport (BAV) evaluates the quality of regional public transport services co-financed by the Swiss Confederation and the cantons. The assessment is based on mystery passenger tests and punctuality statistics. The recently published results for 2024 show: Aargau Verkehr once again demonstrates first-class service quality.

Top marks for service quality
In the rail category, Aargau Verkehr achieved a score of 99.21 points – the highest result in Switzerland. This places Aargau Verkehr among the top ten public transport operators in the country. The evaluation criteria included cleanliness, the quality of passenger information, and the condition of the vehicles.

Strong punctuality, further improved
Aargau Verkehr also excels in terms of punctuality: in 2024, 96.61 percent of all train services operated on time – significantly above the Swiss average of 94.8 percent. Particularly noteworthy is the improvement on the Bremgarten–Dietikon line, where targeted measures led to an increase in punctuality from 92.49 percent in the previous year to 95.09 percent.

They ensure that infrastructure and vehicles remain clean and fully operational, while also providing reliable passenger information. This dedication plays a decisive role in making Aargau Verkehr one of the best-rated transport operators in Switzerland again in 2024.
