SIP Gateway Unit

The VisiWeb SGU is a replacement for GSM gateways to support new mobile network technologies. The intercoms now communicate directly with the VisiWeb SGU, which converts the audio into a SIP call. These SIP streams are then forwarded to a cellular network router that supports the required voice gateway technology.

The VisiWeb SGU was specially developed for SIP applications (SIP = Session Initiation Protocol) in the rail sector. The SGU can be installed where space is limited, as is often the case in metros, trams and buses. The SGU enables direct full duplex communication with the control center in high voice quality.
